July 10, 2007- It is still quiet in Coffee Springs. I thought I would write a little more after a long absence. We had some rain last night, I think about two inches. It was one of those hot weather thunder storms generated by the high energy in the summer heat. We are glad to get any rain now since we have a drought and need about 15 inches of water to catch up with our normal level. We had some wind and thunder and lightning in the storm last evening. Blew down my 80 meter antenna and also damaged my 160 meter one. I have a job to get out there and get them back up. Today I am supposed to go to the senior center at Coffee Springs. I don't know if I will make it or not. Although, it is fun playing dominoes.
